The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining plant equipment and facilities to ensure minimal machine downtime and maximum production efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Required Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
High School Diploma or GED. Completion of a 2-year course of study in industrial maintenance, a recognized maintenance appreticeship program, or two years industrial maintenance experience.
Material and Equipment Directly Used
Forklift, assorted hand and power tools, welders and cutting torch.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Standing/walking on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts. Bending kneeling, stooping, pulling, pushing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
Three to five years experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
