Human Resources Generalist

Regular Full-Time


The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for both operational and technical personnel duties in the areas of compensation and benefit administration, training and development, performance management, compliance, and employee relations matters within a production environment. 


  • Serves as point of contact between production employees and Human Resources functions.
  • Processes New Hire Paperwork  and creates employee Personnel Files.
  • Prepares and processes all personnel change and termination forms, and assures proper approvals.
  • Assists with the recruiting and interviewing and hiring for production employees.
  • Assists with the weekly payroll for fproduction floor employees.
  • Track and maintain vacation usage and holiday pay.
  • Assists Supervisors / Administers training programs and training records.  
  • Prepare, track and maintain Leave of Absence requests (FMLA, STD, and Workers Compensation) and attendance tracking.
  • Conducts and records new hire 30/60/90 reviews.
  • Conducts and record Exit Interviews within the supported sites.
  • Provide administrative support for all US Human Resource Managers as requested.
  • Administers performance management process for production employees at supported sites.
  • Assists in the administration of performance management process for non-production employees.
  • Performs customer service functions by helping with employee and department requests.
  • Assists with various departmental projects as requested.
  • Assists with various plant operational reports such as Monthly Gain Sharing, Monthly Production Reporting and others as requested.

Required Qualifications

2-4 years experience in a generalist role, B.S. in Human Resources or related field required.  Strong desire to work in and learn all aspects of the Human Resources function.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Must have the ability to present in front of groups or training sessions.   Experience with HRIS database, or ability to learn new computer programs quickly.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.  Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
