  • Overview

    The Director of Human Resources we seek will partner with Sedalia’s Director of Operations and other business leaders, to lead this transformation. Their priorities will include development and ownership of the facility’s HR strategy, implementation of supporting HR priorities and establishment of a visible presence in the local community. In addition, the Director of Human Resources will collaborate with the CHRO to proactively develop programs to ensure that the Company continues to attract and retain top talent, ensuring the company is a preferred employer in the Sedalia area.

    Responsibilities

    • Build innovative scalable HR processes and supporting infrastructure
    • Have hands-on, tactical experience in all HR functional areas
    • Manage and deliver organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition, and shape corporate culture
    • Manage the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the HR function
    • Serve as a consultant to management on Human Resources related issues as well as serving as the employee advocate
    • Partner/advise management on the resolution of employee relations, corrective action and performance issues
    • Provide ongoing performance coaching and feedback to leaders regarding issues of communications, management style, associate interactions, career and leadership development, corrective action and conflict resolution
    • Mediate employee disputes, ensure proper documentation is followed, and corrective actions are implemented
    • Investigate allegations of harassment, discrimination, wrongful termination, improper conduct and other matters
    • Provide consultation and guidance to management regarding hiring decisions
    • Ensure we are in compliance as it relates to federal and state labor laws.

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business Administration or related field with 10+ years of demonstrated and successful HR management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience integrating acquired businesses, managing major organizational change, comfort with HR systems/technology, and both union and non-union experience are all highly desirable.

     

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with ADP payroll systems preferred.
