  • Overview

    To manage, supervise, and coach all production personnel and assist the Plant Manager in scheduling orders to maximize efficiency, meet customer demands, and to achieve profitability for WireCo. 

    Supervise the Fabrication Process and its employees to achieve organization goals set forth by the Plant Manager.


    • Follow the production plan from the daily production meeting, changes to be discussed with Plant Manager as the situation arises.

    • Direct the flow of product and equipment in a lean setting - plant wide.
    • Direct all plant personnel including fabrication personnel to meet organizational goals.
    • Support the quality at the source system plant wide.
    • Manage day-to-day shipments effectively - plant wide.
    • Train new employees to assure they abide by plant rules and by the work instructions.
    • Execute employee evaluations per the work instruction requirement and provide discipline as required.
    • Actively seek process improvement solutions to increase output.
    • Assign rates and affirm employees meet production schedules and rates.
    • Develop and mentor leads and other potential personnel for personal growth.
    • Work with materials to obtain a sound machine schedule for maximum efficiency.
    • Insure work instructions (WI) are accurate and write new WI as applicable.
    • Problem-solve and remove daily road blocks to meet goals and objectives.
    • Manage employees and support the safety program to meet OSHA requirements.
    • Assist the Plant Manager with the fabrication capacity planning and execute accordingly.
    • Recommend the overtime schedule to sufficiently cover production requirements.
    • Will support all plant wide initiatives, including, but limited to the AS-9100 quality program, 5S, VMI, and other systems developed or adopted by the company.
    • Must be able to operate all equipment efficiently plant wide.
    • Will perform any work related task assigned by plant manager or by a higher member of management.

    Required Qualifications

    • Associate Degree or 6 years of manufacturing experience
    • Computer skills in Microsoft Office, JDE Oracle, etc
    • Minimal to zero errors in all work product
    • Self-directive work with little to no supervision
    • Willing to work overtime to meet work expectations
    • Verbal, written, and presentation skills are necessary
    • Able to read tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
    • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history and educational background.
    • Must be willing and able to pass a post-offer drug screen and physical (if required)
    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs
